What Do You Need
to Set Up QCare?
No special hardware. No IT team. Just a few things you likely already have — and one Amazon Fire TV Stick.
What You Need
Five things. All of them simple.
Any standard broadband or 4G hotspot
- Standard clinic broadband (any ISP) works perfectly
- Mobile 4G / 5G hotspot is sufficient if broadband isn't available
- No minimum speed requirement — QCare is lightweight
- No dedicated server, VPN, or static IP needed
- The TV stick, receptionist tablet, and patients all use the same Wi-Fi
Any Android or iOS device — tablet recommended
- Any Android phone, iPhone, iPad, or Android tablet works
- A tablet (7" or larger) is recommended for ease of use at the counter
- No app to install — the manager dashboard runs in the browser
- Multiple staff can be logged in at the same time
Any TV with an HDMI port — no smart TV needed
- Any TV with at least one HDMI port works
- Does not need to be a smart TV or have internet built in
- Screen size 32" or larger recommended for patient visibility
- One TV can show all doctors' queues side by side
- Multiple TVs can be set up for different waiting areas
Plugs into the TV's HDMI port — available on Amazon
- Any Amazon Fire TV Stick model works (HD or 4K)
- Available on Amazon India — search "Fire TV Stick"
- Plug it into the TV's HDMI port and connect to your Wi-Fi
- Install the QCare TV app free from the Amazon Appstore
- Enter your clinic's TV code — display goes live instantly
Downloaded from your admin panel and printed
- Download your clinic's personalised QR sticker from the admin panel
- Print it on plain A4 paper or get it laminated for durability
- Place it at the reception counter where patients can see and scan it
- Available as a bilingual A4 sticker (English + your regional language)
- No special printer needed — any office printer works
What You Do NOT Need
Things clinics often assume are required — but aren't.
How Setup Works
From sign-up to first patient in under 30 minutes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use my existing TV?+
Yes, as long as it has an HDMI port — which almost all TVs made in the last 15 years do. You don't need a new or smart TV. Just plug the Fire TV Stick into the HDMI port.
Which Amazon Fire TV Stick model should I buy?+
Any model works — the standard Fire TV Stick HD is sufficient. The 4K version also works but offers no advantage for queue display purposes.
What if we don't have broadband? Can we use mobile data?+
Yes. A 4G or 5G mobile hotspot works fine. The QCare system is lightweight — queue updates are small data packets. A standard data plan is more than enough.
Can the receptionist use their personal phone?+
Yes. The manager dashboard runs in a browser — no app install needed. A personal Android or iPhone works. However, a dedicated tablet at reception is more practical for daily use.
Do we need one Fire TV Stick per TV?+
Yes, one Fire TV Stick per TV. If you have two separate waiting areas, you'll need two sticks. Each can be configured to show all doctors or only the doctors relevant to that waiting area.
Is there a setup fee?+
No. Setup is included in the subscription. The only hardware cost is the Amazon Fire TV Stick, a one-time purchase available on Amazon. QCare subscription starts at ₹2,499/month.
